Cambs LMC represents, supports, and advises local practices. We can now offer our guidance more widely to practice staff and GPs across the country looking to refresh or upskill essential knowledge to ensure their businesses are better placed to tackle the challenges of general practice today.

We offer subject-matter experts with current working in-depth knowledge of general practice business. Each Business Bitesize session will be delivered online, live, with the opportunity to raise questions and contribute to the interactive session.

Legal Obligations for Partnerships in Practice is a compact lunch-hour session detailing the key legal implications and obligations of partnership that you need to know in general practice. Led by Shanee Baker, a leading counsel in law pertaining to general practice and director of LMC Law Ltd, this session will focus on specialist legal advice and current examples of the opportunities and pitfalls that all partners and senior managers – new or experienced – need to know, including: partnership deeds and clauses of negotiation (e.g. new and retiring partners, leave pertaining to sickness, holiday, sabbaticals, parental/adoption and locums); fees and charges; disputes and suspensions; PCNs and information governance standards.
