Review of Convatec dressings ( aquacel , granuflex , duoderm ) on the formulary and their in place in wound healing /care plan

For:

Registered nurses, associate practitioners and health care assistants

Aim

• To enable the student to consolidate their knowledge of wound assessment
• To enable the student to increase their knowledge in the use of these dressings according to the stage of wound healing

Learning outcomes:

The student will be able

• To understand and be more confident in using appropriate dressing according to holistic and wound assessment.
• To be confident in the use of the wound care formulary.

Competency to be achieved with:

• Completing the session quiz /discussion.
• Attending other TV courses and adding this session to the main competency document.
• Working alongside an experienced nurse in wound care or tissue viability nurse.
