Paul Selby

Consultant Pharmacist

Paul Selby is a Consultant Pharmacist in genomics and one of two Clinical Pharmacy Leads for East Genomics, supporting development and implementation of genomics in mainstream healthcare in the East Midlands and East of England regions. He has over 15 years of experience in clinical pharmacy across a number of hospital settings working as an independent prescriber for inpatients and outpatients, and has a professional interest in genomics, rare diseases and liver disease. He has a passion for ongoing education and training of pharmacy staff, and is an honorary lecturer at UEA

Dr Jessica Randall-Carrick

Jessica Randall-Carrick works as a GP in Peterborough and Co-ordinates the Deep End Network across C&P and the East of England region. Demystifying medical appliances - Stoma and Continence

The well-established team of Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) at Cambridge University Hospital (CUH) consists of nurses with specialised expertise in colorectal and stoma care. This dedicated group provides comprehensive support to adults, children, and neonates, guiding them through every step of their surgical journey via a robust  pathway. This pathway includes ongoing outpatient reviews to ensure continuous support, prevent stoma complications, and promote cost-effective prescribing.

Together they are  unwavering in their commitment to excellence, guided by core values of teamwork, competence, efficiency, commitment and balance.  The purpose is to consistently deliver exceptional outcomes by leveraging the strength of collaboration and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Dr Andreas Erdmann

Pain Medicine Consultant
NWAFT

Dr Andreas Erdmann has been in clinical specialist pain practice for over twenty years. He took up his substantive Consultant appointment at Peterborough hospitals (NWAFT) in 2002, having completed his Anaesthesia training in East Anglia. He also went on to complete the Neurotechnics Pain Fellowship in London (Bart’s and Whipps Cross) and gained the FFPMRCA as well and the FIPP (international Fellowship of Interventional Pain Practice). His current clinical interests lie in the blended application of neuroscience and philosophy in the management of complex pain.

Emma Bines

Lead Pharmacist for Older People
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough ICS

Emma has worked as a clinical pharmacist in a number of hospitals in the East of England over the last 14 years and is currently completing her credentialing as a consultant pharmacist in Older People’s Medicine.

She has a special interest in Parkinson’s, completing her prescribing in this area and previously worked as the Lead Pharmacist for Department of Medicine for the Elderly and as a trainee advanced clinical practitioner (ACP) in acute medicine at CUH.

Emma has contributed to research within her specialty, exploring the local landscape of medication related admissions to hospital and anticholinergic burden prescribing in older adults.

This is a new system pharmacist post, allowing Emma to work in an integrated way across the boundaries between care settings, addressing key priority areas including; de-prescribing, transfer of care and medicines optimisation, falls prevention and concordance strategies.

Dr Christianne Micallef

Christianne has an extensive experience of over 20 years, in pharmacy and infection management, has a doctorate in clinical microbiology, trained in behaviour change methodologies and worked both in the UK and abroad. She has worked in national, hospital and academic environments and leads continuous improvement programmes, to deliver required targets and outcomes in this challenging speciality. Christianne has recently been successfully credentialled as a consultant pharmacist in AMS. She has an active research profile and currently holds an honorary associate professorship at UEA in the field of AMS.

Ms Chloe Ahearne

Senior Pharmacist- ID and AMS
Cambridge University Hospitals

Chloe is an antimicrobial pharmacist working at CUH. Her background is in paediatrics and neonatal care. This has led to her developing further paediatric AMS initiatives and improving accessibility to paediatric guidelines within CUH. Her current role includes the management of patients with complex infectious diseases, running pharmacy led AMS ward rounds for various specialities and education and training for junior pharmacists.

Ms Netta Tyler

Lead AMS Pharmacist
Royal Papworth Hospital

Netta is a highly-experienced pharmacist with over 35 years of experience in both in the UK and abroad. She has worked in a number of healthcare settings including community pharmacy, academia and hospital pharmacist. Netta was one of the first antimicrobial pharmacists to be appointed in England and since 2018, she has been working in a dual role as the Antifungal Specialist pharmacist in CUH, as well as the Lead AMS Pharmacist at RPH. Netta has an active research profile and is an independent consultant on AMS.
