Please join us for the Allied Health Professionals and Support Workers Coming Together Day on Friday 23rd June 2023.

This collaborative event brings together those working across Cambridge and Peterborough. All AHPs and Support Workers are welcome to attend.

The day will be hosted by Anglia Ruskin University, at Young Street Campus in Cambridge.

The morning will focus on shared themes across AHP and Support Worker roles. Lunch will be provided- with space for networking. The afternoon will host a selection of afternoon workshops attendees may choose from. Each workshop aims to support sharing of best practice and continued learning around varied areas.

Morning Speaker Sessions:

Theme 1: Key Challenges & opportunities for the area

Theme 2: AHP & Support Workers Regionally and Nationally, including sessions on:

o AHPs Deliver Strategy & The Scope of the AHP Role

o Support Workforce Agenda- AHP Support Worker Framework

o The Journey of a Support Worker

Theme 3: Growing the Workforce

o Clinical Learning Environment Strategy

o AHP workforce retention/Repair programme

o Increasing Placement capacity

Afternoon Synchronous workshop sessions:

o A mini career coaching session

o Leadership skills across your career

o Learning Environment Utilisation: using placement capacity models to offer capacity assurance when building our workforce of the future

o The Support Worker role in mentoring and placements

o Research Careers for AHPs and AHP Support Workers

We look forward to you joining us on the day. When booking your ticket, please advise on your preferred choice of workshop sessions, so that we are able to review numbers. Lunch will be provided, please advise with sufficient notice of any specific dietary requirements.

Traveling to Young Street Campus

Location: Anglia Ruskin University, Young Street, Cambridge CB1 2LZ

Registration will open at 9am, tea/coffee will be available from this time.

There is no parking available on campus. To travel to Young Street Campus by car the park and ride or public car parks in Cambridge are suggested. Newmarket Road park and ride stops at Napier Street, which is located a short walk to Young Street Campus. There is public parking at the Grafton within a short walking distance from the campus.
