This practical skills workshop, the second in a series of nine, will suit those who are relatively new to a leadership role, and equally, those more experienced leaders who would like to refresh their skills, knowledge and confidence in leading teams in today’s constantly evolving primary care environment.

Workshop Objectives

The workshop will:

  • Identify a range of influencing styles and consider their effectiveness for different scenarios
  • Provide a range of techniques to consider and practice to create personal impact with own team and other stakeholders
  • Encourage an inclusive approach by respecting difference and diversity of views and experiences when influencing

Learning Outcomes

Participants will

  • Recognise preferred influencing style and practice flexing for maximum impact
  • Develop skills in using voice and body language for impact when communicating to diverse audiences
  • Build confidence in storytelling to engage others
  • Recognise own responsibility to respect and take into account different experiences and perspectives when seeking to influence
