The pandemic has had a significant impact on the detection and management of cardiovascular disease high risk conditions. As set out in the NHS 2022/23 priorities and operational planning guidance, teams are already working hard to restore the detection monitoring and treatment of CVD risk factors to pre-pandemic levels.

The Clinical Policy Unit are hosting a series of webinars on what it will take to restore CVD prevention. The next webinar will take place on 11th July at 3- 4.30pm and will provide an overview of cholesterol pathways, including the national DOAC procurement framework and case studies on opportunities for optimisation. Hear from expert speakers such as Deb Lowe, NHS England’s National Clinical Director for Stroke about why this is essential for stroke prevention across England.

This webinar is for the NHS workforce and is most suitable for primary care, CVD leads, regional leads, CVD healthcare professionals.
