This education session is being delivered as part of the GP Fellowship Education Programme and is open to Cambridgeshire and Peterborough GPs who are enrolled on the GP Fellowship Scheme, or who are within their first 5 years of practice.

The aim of this session is to help GPs to form a differential diagnosis of non-scaly rashes, to know first and second steps of management and when to refer, and to recognise the importance of examining rashes with a face-to-face consultation.

Dr Trigell will discuss some of the non-scaly rashes commonly seen in primary care. These will include lichen planus, granuloma annulare, molluscum, blistering rashes, pityriasis versicolor and rosea, and urticaria. The focus will be on clues to diagnosis, primary care management and when to refer, together with descriptive terms for rashes and highlighting the differences between patient’s descriptions and clinical descriptions.

The session will take place via Zoom. After booking, you will receive joining instructions approximately 24 hours before the event.

Dr Anna Trigell has been a GP partner and dermatology GPwER in St. Neots for 17 years. She currently has a portfolio career as a prison GP, a GPwER in dermatology, aesthetics and some extended access GP work.
