Bringing out the best in everyone to create a great team

This practical skills workshop, the fifth in a series of nine, will suit those who are relatively new to a leadership role, and equally, those more experienced leaders who would like to refresh their skills, knowledge and confidence in leading teams in today’s constantly evolving primary care environment.

Workshop Objectives

The workshop will:

  • Examine the factors required for a sustained high performing team
  • Consider the different needs, motivations and preferences within a diverse team
  • Provide inclusive strategies to support team development

Learning Outcomes

Participants will

  • Understand what needs to be in place for effective teamwork
  • Develop inclusive strategies to support stages of team development
  • Be able to assess how own team is functioning, team reflexivity and review team effectiveness with the team
  • Recognise own role as leader to ensure an inclusive and respectful culture for the team with trust and psychological safety
