Essentials Webinar Series is a programme of 1.5 hour webinars – broadcast live – providing expert specialist clinical training and essential information. These webinars are recorded live and are available for delegates to access freely for six months after the webinar date.
The care of our elderly population is a vital component within primary care. 17% of the population is aged 65 or over. This population is becoming more dependent on GP services and recent figures show that they use half the NHS social services budget, too.
We are delighted to have two experts give talks for this webinar – our aim is to increase the confidence of delegates in their daily practice with regards to elderly medicine. Professor Reeve is a professor in primary care research and will be helping us understand the impact of polypharmacy with regards to our patients. Dr James Adams is a clinical director for frailty services and consultant geriatrician at Royal Surrey hospital and he will be highlighting the importance of Frailty in patients and how we can work in concert with our colleagues in secondary care.
