Following on from successful previous events for GPs, NHSE East and the GMC are running a lunch time session for GPs on the GMC, Fitness to Practise and Fairness. The GMC Midlands and East of England team will explore:
GMC functions and the roles of Midlands and East team members
how professional standards relate to fitness to practise
data on numbers and sources of complaints for all licenced doctors and GPs specifically
the stages of an investigation
support available for doctors going through investigation, and for those involved with tribunal hearings
work to eliminate disproportionate referrals
These interactive events will be a great opportunity to meet the team and ask questions about an important subject.
