This GP education session is being delivered as part of the CPTH GP Education Programme. It is open to GPs and ACPs working in Primary Care in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

This month we will be joined by Dr Emma Tiffin for an update on the Cambridgeshire ADULT mental health service offer and how to access these services. This will include both NHS and voluntary sector services and local resources that can be used by primary care to support and advise patients with mental health needs.

This event is taking place via Zoom. Once booked, you will find the zoom link in your booking confirmation email.

Dr Emma Tiffin is a practising GP in Cambridgeshire and Clinical Lead at Central East Integrated Care Board (ICB). Emma has worked in mental health clinical leadership roles for over 20 years. She has led on the development of a sustainable integrated community-based mental health service model in Cambridgeshire which includes a First Response Crisis Mental Health Service (FRS), a Primary Service for Mental Health (PCMHS) and a transformed community adult Eating Disorder service. Both FRS and PCMHS have won national awards for innovation and are blueprint models nationally.

In 2016, Emma was awarded the Health Education England “East of England Leadership Award for Service Improvement and Innovation” and in November 2017 was awarded “Healthcare Leader of the Year” at the national General Practice Awards. In 2020 Emma was appointed as National GP Advisor for NHS England Adult Mental Health Team and has focused in particular on the physical health of patients with mental health problems. She was also the resident GP for BBC Radio Cambridgeshire for many years and loves a good discussion!
