This education session is being delivered as part of the GP Fellowship Education Programme and is open to Cambridgeshire and Peterborough GPs who are enrolled on the GP Fellowship Scheme, or who are within their first 5 years of practice.

For our February education session, we will be joined by Rebecca Davis of Greener Practice Cambridge who will be asking “How can we improve the environmental sustainability of general practice?”

The aims of this talk are to:

  • Understand the interaction between human behaviour, the environment and health
  • Understand where the NHS is currently, in regards to carbon emissions and the targets we are aiming for
  • To increase knowledge of what we can do as healthcare professionals to help create a more sustainable NHS

We will cover topics such as inhalers, social prescribing, healthcare waste, active travel, deprescribing, efficiency of our buildings, as well as tips on how to successfully introduce these conversations and ideas to the workplace.

This session will take place via Zoom. After booking, you will receive joining instructions approximately 24 hours before the event.
