This education session is being delivered as part of the GP Fellowship Education Programme and is open to Cambridgeshire and Peterborough GPs who are enrolled on the GP Fellowship Scheme or who are within their first 5 years of practice.

The session will provide an understanding of the Long Covid pathway and how to refer patients to the service, and an awareness of what to expect from the service to set correct expectations for patients, including:

  • Overview of Long Covid
  • Update on service pathway for assessment and rehab
  • Findings so far
  • Current position

 

Speaker(s):

Louise Goswell has a background as Respiratory Physiotherapist and Service Manager for the Community Respiratory Team for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. She started with Long Covid in Feb 2021 as a screener, which developed into leading the service for CPFT who host the service.

Dr Rowan Burnstein is Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge and Head of School of Anaesthesia, Health Education England, East of England.
