Healthcare for Migrants – Clinical Aspects
In Part 2 of ‘Healthcare for Migrants’ we will focus on the clinical aspects of care for newly arrived migrants including using interpreters, initial screening, trauma-informed consultations, managing distress, mental health and wider psychosocial considerations. We will draw on experience from Doctors of the World and research from a specialist service in Norwich, and how to apply this learning to mainstream General Practice.
