PLEASE NOTE – ATTENDEES MUST BE REGISTERED NURSES & HAVE COMPLETED THE 2 DAY IMMUNISATION TRAINING MEETING THE NATIONAL MINIMUM STANDARDS (PHE 2018)
Sessions will be provided via an online platform (TBC) and access details will be sent to participants one week before the event.
Handouts will be sent electronically to the email address provided at the time of booking one week before the event
Session content to include:
- Review of the current schedule and changes over the last 12 months;
- The Seasonal Flu vaccination programme – review and preparation for the 2020/21 season)
- Review of vaccine uptake, read coding, CHIS, ImmForm
- Addressing parental concerns and barriers to vaccination
- Overview of the Community and School Age Immunisation Service
- Overview of the Neonatal Hep B pathway and dried blood spot testing in Primary Care
- Measles and Rubella Elimination Strategy
- Vaccinations in Pregnancy
- Cold chain management and minimising wastage
- Multiple choice quiz providing an opportunity ask questions, share good practice and reflect on where things could be done differently
