The Measurement for Improvement masterclass builds on the knowledge gained from previous Quality Improvement Workshops i.e. Foundations of QI workshop and/or QI tools and techniques workshop.

It is important that you have attended at least one of these workshops before attending Measurement for Improvement Masterclass.

This masterclass will bring to life what measurement for improvement looks like, how it can be applied and what it means for you and your projects.

The interactive session will explore:

  • how and where measurement can be applied in health and care
  • a range of methods and techniques used to measure improvement
  • examples of improvement in health and care and how this was measured
  • different types of measurement, with help to understand variation in approaches and results

Eastern Academic Health Science Network has been commissioned and funded by the East of England leadership academy to facilitate this workshop.

Whilst there is no programme cost for participants, each place represents a significant investment; therefore, to ensure maximum benefit from the programme, participants must commit to attending and participate in an evaluation process. Delegates are asked to give at least 48 hour’s notice by email for cancellation to allow people on the waiting list to be offered the opportunity. The email address is improvement@eahsn.org

By applying to attend this event your details will be forwarded to us by Eventbrite and Eastern AHSN will then hold those details in accordance with our privacy notice. This can be found at https://www.eahsn.org/legal/privacy-policy. Your details and data will also be shared with the programme evaluation partners (SGS) and the sponsors Health Education East of England and the East of England Leadership Academy.

East of England Leadership Academy Cancellation Policy – 2019

When delegates cancel their place in the days leading up to an event it can have a major impact on its success. Occasionally events have to be cancelled or postponed.

When events run with reduced delegates it affects the breadth and value of learning for other delegates. We do understand that cancelling places at short notice is sometimes unavoidable; however, your commitment to attending is crucial to the success and outcome of the event.

This cancellation policy has been produced as part of our aim to ensure value for money and to maximise utilisation of places. Clearly communicating our approach to cancellations will enable us to effectively manage non–attendance.

Cancellations should be made at the first available opportunity. This can be by email or telephone; however email will be considered as formal notification. In return, confirmation of your cancellation will be sent by email.

If you are unable to attend, you may send a substitute in your place if agreed with the Leadership Academy (depending on any waiting lists that may be in operation for this session). Substitutions can be made in writing subject to the new participant meeting the event/programme criteria and their place is supported by your organisation. Please ensure that you forward us the new participant’s details, i.e. name, job title and email address, prior to the event. This is to ensure that they participate in post-event evaluation and receive information about any future development opportunities. Should it not be possible to provide a substitute the sponsoring organisation will be informed of the non-attendance.

Where a programme requires full attendance over a series of workshops, attendance at all elements of these programmes is expected. Failure to attend all sessions will have an impact on both personal development and programme delivery and may impact on the individual’s opportunity to access any future development offers.

By booking a place at one of our events individuals are agreeing to attend unless full notice along with a rationale for non-attendance has been provided.

Cancellation Timeframe Action
More than 2 working weeks’ notice No action
Less than 2 working weeks’ notice Sponsoring organisation notified of non-attendance

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone an event/programme should unexpected circumstances occur. We will always endeavour to avoid this and will provide as much notice as possible. Should an event need to be cancelled we will not be held responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred by the attendee.

Please contact East of England Leadership Academy team on 01223 596908 or eoe@leadershipacademy.nhs.uk if you are unable to attend an event or would like to send a substitute.
