This highly practical 2-day course is for community clinicians who would like to develop or improve their surgical skills, whilst learning to provide a safe, effective, and modern community Minor Surgery Service.

The Minor Surgery Course begins with a series of punchy and entertaining lectures, where we cover practical tips, useful advice, and all the key safety information you need. This is followed by supervised hands-on practice for the remainder of the 2 Days.

Topics covered include various surgical and non-surgical techniques for the removal of benign skin lesions, simple and advanced wound closure methods, tips and tricks for setting up a minor surgery service in the community, alongside any important medico-legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.

This course is suitable for all skills levels. If you are a novice or beginner, then you’ll learn how to perform minor skin surgery. If you have previous experience, then you’ll expand your knowledge and fine tune your skills with the support of surgical experts. If you’re already an expert, then you’ll receive an excellent CPD refresher, and an opportunity to share your experience with your peers.

This course has been developed and refined by their team of expert GPs, Plastic Surgeons, Orthopaedic Surgeons, and Dermatologists, and is continuously updated to meet changes in commissioning agendas, regulatory requirements, and best practice.

The course is facilitated by Medical Skills Courses. With over a decade of industry experience, they are one of the UKs most acclaimed providers of Minor Surgery Courses. Their tutors are friendly, approachable and offer excellent post-course support.
