About this Event
The aim of this one day workshop is to raise awareness with employees at local businesses, particularly; factories, banks and recruitment agencies, of modern day slavery, how to spot possible victims and report concerns.
No business is free from risk. High-risk sectors include those whose businesses and UK supply chains are characterised by a high proportion of migrant workers undertaking unskilled and irregular work.
By the end of the workshop you will know what modern day slavery, human trafficking and labour exploitation is. You will be able to recognise the signs that someone may be a victim of modern slavery and you will know how to access support from the Victim and Witness Hub.
We will have speakers from Cambridgeshire Police, GLAA, Stronger together, Stop the Traffik and Verisio LTD.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
