Please join us for a demonstration of the MS Teams Virtual MDT app on Microsoft Teams on Wednesday the 12th October at 11:00am

Over the past six months, the national Anticipatory Care team and NHSmail Centre of Excellence have been working with multidisciplinary teams in community health services and in care homes to understand how to make it easier for them to work digitally.

As a result we have developed an app within MS Teams to automate the customisation of a virtual space for MDTs to work and collaborate together virtually.  The solution is agnostic to areas of health and care, and we hope it can be used widely to facilitate collaboration.

As part of the apps development we have collaborated with teams working within the NHS frameworks of Anticipatory Care and Enhanced Health in Care Homes. These areas represent the successes and challenges of collaborative working between health, social care, the voluntary, community, and social enterprise sector and care homes to support people with complex health and care needs to get the support they need.

We have spoken with teams working in partnership across health and social care, made up of a wide variety of professionals including GPs, community nurses, allied health professionals, district nurses, mental health nurses, therapists and social care workers.

This is an exciting way forward in enabling local MDTs to work more collaboratively in a virtual space allowing more time to be spent on the individuals they care for.

Please note:

  • This demonstration will be recorded and shared on the Discharge and Community Services FutureNHS platform.
  • A link to join the event will be circulated on Tuesday 11th October. Please hold this time in your diary.
