Event Overview
We would like to invite you to join our FREE webinar: Obesity management in primary care.
In the United Kingdom, the prevalence of obesity among adults and children is concerning, with approximately 1 in 4 adults and 1 in 5 children aged 10 to 11 living with obesity. In this webinar, we will discuss the changes in the NICE guidelines and explore how they can be effectively implemented. We will focus on the changes in the obesity pathway, specifically in the areas of treatment, including the use of anti-obesity medications (AOM) and surgical interventions. We will also discuss the roles of GPs and specialist treatments in managing obesity. Additionally, we will provide guidance on how to initiate conversations about obesity with your patients and how to effectively refer them to the appropriate obesity services.
Learning objectives:
By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Understand the new NICE guidelines for supporting and referring patients.
- Gain knowledge about the treatment pathway and options available for patients under the new guidelines.
- Acquire top tips on how to initiate and maintain meaningful conversations with their patients regarding their treatment and care
There will be time at the end of this webinar for Q&A.
This webinar will be chaired by TBC
