We are delighted to invite you to an Equally Well UK event, chaired by Dr Clare Gerada with speakers including Dr Jonathan Bickford, Prof Wendy Burn, and members of the Equally Well UK Expert by Experience group.
This unique event is for GPs and their colleagues who provide physical health checks for patients on their severe mental illness registers. Annual health checks are an essential starting point for GPs to address the 20-year life expectancy gap for these patients. We understand that GPs and their colleagues are overstretched and under pressure. This webinar will provide insights and advice about how to efficiently deliver physical health checks in practice, act upon the findings, and overcome the barriers that prevent these checks from being undertaken.
Equally Well UK is a campaign focusing on improving the physical health of people living with severe mental illness and closing the mortality gap. We know that through early intervention and tailored support, people with a mental illness can be supported to enjoy happier, healthier and longer lives.
