Voluntary patient and public partners and experts by experience are a valuable way to help ensure the voices of people and communities are brought into committees, programme boards and other ongoing work in health and care systems. This interactive workshop will explore good practice in appointing voluntary partners to these roles. The focus will be on appointment, but there will also be some discussion of the potential limitations of the roles as a way to hear a wide and diverse range of voices.

This workshop will suit any member of staff who appoints partners to these roles and any member of staff developing strategies that include working with patient and public voice partners.
