Safeguarding in Practice: Peer Learning Case Based discussion for GPs

These GP led, focussed, one hour sessions will be participatory and encourage practical primary care focussed ideas to take back to your clinical practice. Each month we will offer 2 opportunities to approach the same cases, and publish the cases and resources for use with your practice teams/peer learning sets.

An interactive webinar of case-based, peer-to-peer learning applying topics from the preceding ‘Safeguarding Matters Webinar: Supported Decision-Making, MCA and Deprivation of Liberty in Clinical Practice – An Advanced Course’ on 25th September. (Whilst attendance at the Safeguarding Matters webinar is helpful, it is not an essential prerequisite to this session.)

Facilitated by Dr Liz Woodroffe, GP Safeguarding Lead at Granta Medical Practices and drawing upon the expertise of Mr James Codling, MCA and DOL Safeguards Training and Development Manager, Cambridgeshire County Council.

These sessions will be delivered via Zoom. You will receive joining instructions after booking.

If you have personal cases we can learn from or help think through, please anonymise the story, and email us at CandPTraininghub@nhs.net (for the attention of Liz Woodroffe) and we can look to include this in one of our monthly case discussions.
