Overview:

This event shares examples of innovative practice to ensure equality of access to MMR catch-up campaigns. Drawing on examples of current MMR projects and wider learning from the COVID-19 vaccine rollout campaign and opportunities to make every contact count.

Programme will be confirmed, but speakers include:

  • Cathren Armstrong, Sandwell Council, A holistic approach to increasing childhood vaccinations in diverse communities
  • Dr Muhammad Naqvi, GP at Woodgrange Practice, NEL (North East London), NEL Clinical Lead for Imms and Screening – A practice approach to increasing COVID-19 vaccinations in diverse communities
  • Panel Question and Answers session – Tehseen, Cathren, Muhammed

This event is for those working to increase uptake of childhood vaccinations, particularly the MMR vaccine, among all of our community groups. Places will be prioritised for GPs and staff working in general practice, local and national vaccination leads including those at ICS and local authorities, public health officers,  regional equalities leads, communications and engagement leads working on vaccination rollout.
