A safe space to share thoughts & experiences of working in health, social care & the third sector with others who understand.

About this event

It is now 2 years since the first lockdown. We have been living and working under enormous amounts of uncertainty and change. Some of these have been for a set time, in other ways things have changed forever.

We want to provide a safe, supportive space to be able to hear different people’s experiences, to come together with others who can understand, even if their own lives have been affected differently. We welcome everyone and encourage those who feel their voices have not been heard to take this opportunity to share their experience.

The staff support forums are open to any staff member or volunteer working in health, social care and associated third sector organisations in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The group will run on different times and days each week but the format is the same: 45 minutes for discussion with a 10 minute optional mindfulness practice at the end.

The discussions will be focused on themes agreed by the group for each session. The aim is that these will be a space to share experiences of working in health, social care and the third sector with others who understand, to hear each other’s experiences and support each other to think about how to manage the challenges and look after ourselves.

If you feel overwhelmed and would like a space to pause and connect with others working in health and social care please do come along. The groups will run regularly but you can attend on a drop in basis. You just need to register in advance so you can get the link to the meeting.

The forum will be facilitated by members of members of staff support hub.

This session is open to all those working in health, social care, the voluntary sector or not-for-profit sector in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
