Event Overview

Join us for the next bite-sized installment of the Oxford/ RCGP Research and Surveillance Centre’s new webinar series – FORT (Focus On Research – Tuesday). This is the fourth webinar in the series and is aimed at showing practices how serology sampling contributes to insights for vaccine effectiveness, in all patient groups including high-risk patients. We hope to leave attendees with no doubt about how important sampling is in the community and to encourage more sampling and more members of our network to take part in serosurveillance.

The series has been established to:

– Promote disease surveillance as a way of better informing public health decision making

– Demonstrate application of surveillance data by giving examples of output from our collaborators and partners

– Encourage GPs to get actively involved by demonstrating the benefits of participating in the RSC network and to inform about the latest research studies

– Stimulate fresh thinking in General Practice by sharing best practice

Topics

– Value of our serology contribution

– Vaccine effectiveness – insights gained

– How to make your sampling count – the perspective from the UKHSA lab

– We always need more – how to get involved in serosurveillance and tips for integrating sampling into practice workflow.
