The Covid pandemic has had significant impact on detection and management of cardiovascular disease high risk conditions and this is why the NHS Planning Guidance has prioritised the restoration of CVD interventions to pre-pandemic levels.

The Clinical Policy Unit of NHS England and NHS Improvent are hosting a series of webinars on CVD prevention restoration – this next webinar is the second of a series of five; taking place on 13 June, 2pm-3.30pm and will detail the importance of being data-informed across interventions by using trusted data sources such as CVD Prevent and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities CVD prevention guides. Speakers include Dr Shahed Ahmad, National Clinical Director for CVD Prevention; Dr Mohit Sharma, Consultant in Healthcare Public Health and Jo Wall, Principal Knowledge Transfer Facilitator for the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities.

Our first webinar introduced our four-point plan to recover  CVD Prevention and can be accessed on the Future NHS Cardiac Pathway Improvement page.

Intended audience: This webinar is for NHS healthcare and Public Health professionals and is intended for CVD leads, regional leads, CPIP leads, other CVD NHS healthcare professionals, primary care, Public Health professionals and Intelligence leads and analysts.
