Frailty Matters: GP Peer Learning Programme

Are you a GP in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough looking to deepen your understanding of frailty? Join us for a series of 6 interactive, peer-led education workshops, facilitated by a GP with a specialist interest in Frailty and experience in community geriatrics.

Who?

This programme is open to all GPs (post-CCT) currently working in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough general practice. Applicants must be able to commit to attending the Friday lunchtime virtual workshops.

What?

A series of virtual workshops to help enhance your confidence in managing frailty and improve patient outcomes.

  • 6 x monthly peer workshops with pre-session learning materials and signposting around topic area
  • Curriculum aligned with the Diploma in Geriatric Medicine- you do not need to be planning to undertake the diploma to join or benefit from this programme. (There is also funding available to support the Diploma, please see our CPD Grants web page)
  • Ideal for any GPs keen to upskill in frailty care

When?

The virtual workshops will be delivered one Friday per month (12:00-1:30pm), starting in January 2026 – see schedule below:

Where?

These workshops will be delivered virtually via MS Teams.

How do I apply?

There are 10 places available and applications will be considered on a first come first served basis, however to ensure this programme has good representation across our patch we will apply additional criteria to offer:

  • 5 places for those working in the North (Peterborough, Fenland & Huntingdon)
  • 5 places for those working in the South (Cambridge City, North & South Cambridge and Ely)
