PCN Educational Leadership Development Programme

Do you have a passion to develop and lead education within your PCN?

We have commissioned a bespoke 4-part educational leadership development programme delivered by Clare Morris and Tim Swanwick.

They are both hugely experienced in the world of primary care and education and will work with you to dig deep into educational theory, helping to articulate the challenges you face and lean on the literature and others’ expertise to help with finding solutions.

Session 4:  6/02/24 – 8.30am-12.30pm (Huntingdon Marriott)

Putting the patient at the heart of clinical education

In this interactive session we will think about what it means to engage in person-centred practice and how best we can involve patients – people and their communities – as true partners in clinical education.  Along the way we will briefly explore the evolution of the ‘signature pedagogy’ of primary care – teaching around the consultation – the educational benefits of longitudinal student-patient relationships, re-discover what it means to be compassionate, and consider the question; ‘who’s care is it anyway?’

Expression of interest for this cohort are now closed.
