Leadership

Please find below current leadership skills development opportunities.

Leadership Skills Series

We are excited to launch a new series of leadership development workshops designed for anyone who leads teams within primary care, whether within a clinical or non-clinical service.

These practical skills workshops will suit those who are relatively new to a leadership role, and equally, those more experienced leaders who would like to refresh their skills, knowledge and confidence in leading teams in today’s constantly evolving primary care environment.

Whilst the workshops have been designed to flow in a logical sequence, participants can attend any or all of the sessions. Please note however that if you are interested in the Just & Learning Culture sessions, it would be important to attend both sessions to fully benefit.

Benefits for you:

  • Increase your leadership confidence and grow in your role as a leader of others
  • Learn and/or refresh practical leadership skills you can apply straight away
  • Connect with peers from across local practices and PCNs
  • Create space for your own continuing professional development and self-care at work

Places are subsidised, so we are able to offer these at £25 per person and there are a limited number of places.

GP CPD Grant

We recognise that leadership skills are fundamental to the positive growth and performance of all organisations, and good leaders are able to motivate, support and retain staff, which for general practice, means a more consistent provision of care to our patients.

We are delighted to offer a grant towards a programme of leadership study for current or new leaders within practices and PCN’s.
