NHSE EoE have announced a new round of GP appraiser training.

If you are interested in becoming an appraiser and making a significant impact on the professional development of your peers, this role is for you.

Minimum Requirements:

  • GMC Registered and inclusion on the NPL
  • Registered GP for a minimum of 5 years in active clinical practice as a GP
  • Satisfactory engagement in the appraisal process
  • No performance concerns
  • Commitment to undertake a minimum of 6 appraisals in the first year and 10 in subsequent years. The maximum allocation per year is 20 appraisals.
  • Attendance at 1 GP Appraiser Development Day
  • Participation in a minimum of 2 locality meetings

 

Essential Information:

  • Dates: October/November – 2-day event. Attendance on both days is required, as decisions will be based on participation and evaluation across both days.
  • Venue: Victoria House, Fulbourn
  • There is no remuneration for attending this training.
  • If you have previously completed the application form, you will need to complete a new one.
  • Only candidates who are successfully shortlisted will be contacted for the training. Please note successful shortlisting does not guarantee a training place.
  • Formal interviews will be arranged where needed.
  • Please note we will not be able to provide individual feedback to those not shortlisted.
