Welcome to our EDI & B Discovery Week, dedicated to building awareness of how equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging can shape patient care and staff experiences, and to inspire meaningful changes that improve general practice for everyone. A week of live, virtual EDI & B themed lunch and learn sessions with additional learning and resources available.

Mary Lavender

Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Mary is a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist from CNTW NHS Trust and has devoted over 20 years to the field of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). Each day, she witnesses firsthand the transformative power of communication technology for her patients. Mary is a Digital Health and Digital Inclusion lead, as well as the Chair of the Disabled Staff Network/ERG in her NHS Trust. She is a passionate advocate for Assistive and Digital Solutions for disabled employees too, working with the Executive Team and others to bring about positive change.
