Dr Richard Maddison will host a discussion group for Locum GPs based on the Supporting Patients with Substance Use in Primary Care PLT webinar that took place on 20th November 2025.
The webinar was delivered by Dr Justin Markiewicz, a Specialty Doctor, Rough Sleeper Teams in Cambridge & Stevenage.
The session covers common presentations of substance use within Primary Care setting, focusing primarily on alcohol and opiates and the treatment pathways for both substances. The session also covers health inequalities, stigma, safeguarding and referral to other supporting services.
