The first Annual C&P ICS Practice Learning Awards will take place on 21st June 2024.

An annual practice learning awards serves as a platform to recognise and honour the achievements, contributions, and dedication of our Nursing, Midwifery & AHP learners and educators within our Integrated Care System.

Who can be nominated? Any Nursing, Midwifery or AHP Learner (Apprentice, Students, Support Worker, International Recruit, Fellow, Preceptee or those undertaking Continuous Professional Development) or Educator (Practice Assessor/Supervisor/Educator, Clinical/Practice Educators/Facilitators, Preceptors, those in education link roles, nominated person, link lecturers, education champions)

Who can nominate? Anyone who has worked with the learner or educator can nominate them.

An award to recognise an educator who shows exemplary characteristics, passion for teaching, and embodies core values whilst instilling them in others.

Practice area

An award to recognise a practice area that is committed to and actively providing high quality, effective, learning environments for all students.

Exceptional Support 

An award to recognise an educator who has gone above and beyond to support learners in whatever way necessary. This could be through education, guidance or even pastoral support.

Innovation in Education

An award to recognise an educator who has implemented new and exciting practices within teaching to improve the learning experience for students.

Inspirational Educator

An award to recognise an educator who has a positive impact on learners, inspires them to work hard and become the very best learner that they can be.

Inclusivity in Education

An award to recognise educators who actively promote inclusion activities to improve the learning experience of students. This could be on an individual level, supporting a student 1:1, or supporting a wider group of learners.

Peer support (inclusivity)

An award to recognise a learner who has gone above and beyond to include and support a peer alongside their own learning and development.

Patient/ Service User advocate

An award to recognise a learner who has gone above and beyond to support and champion the rights and needs of either an individual or a group of patients/ service users.

Excellence in practice

An award to recognise a student who is excelling in their learning environment, delivering exceptional care, and consistently demonstrating core values and behaviours.

Future Chief Nurse /Midwife/ AHP/Leader award

An award to recognise a learner who shows all the leadership qualities (such as integrity, courage, respect, compassion, resilience) required to be a senior leader in the future.

Team Player (inclusivity)

An award to recognise a learner who actively works in a collaborative manner and helps contribute to creating an inclusive, focused, and supportive working environment.

Innovative Learner (green, digital, research & improvement)

An award to recognise a learner who has demonstrated ideas and methods that have, or have the potential to, significantly and positively impact practice and care.
